The TMC was founded in the year 2001 and has been working since then to promote rural tourism in Ghalegaun and to increase the value of rural tourism among the local population. The TMC distributes the incoming tourists among the Homestays. The income from tourism in Ghalegaun is also distributed among the villagers of Ghalegaun. The Committee is located in an office of the Annapurna Conservation Area Project (ACAP), at the entrance of the village of Ghalegaun. The chairperson of the TMC  is Mr. Prem Bahadur Ghale.
